These terms apply when a local business sponsors a community organization (such as a PTO, HOA, or nonprofit) through Quorum. Quorum is operated by Maker Gully LLC.
- You (the sponsor): the business applying for community sponsorship
- The organization: the group whose public pages will display your banner if approved
- Quorum: the platform that hosts the application, places the card authorization hold, captures payment if approved, and displays approved banners
Your sponsorship relationship is with the organization. Quorum facilitates authorization, payment capture, and banner hosting on the organization's behalf.
You are applying for a fixed-term community sponsorship at the tier and duration shown at checkout. Benefits depend on the tier selected (for example, banner placement on the organization's public home page, meeting agendas, or other surfaces as described on the application form). Placement begins only after the organization approves your application.
- At checkout, Quorum places an authorization hold on your card for the sponsorship amount. This is not a final charge
- The hold is processed by Stripe on behalf of the organization
- Approval is not guaranteed. The organization's board reviews your application and may approve or decline it
- If approved, the hold is captured (you are charged) and your sponsorship term begins
- Holds typically expire in about 7 days. If the organization does not approve before then, the authorization is released automatically and you are not charged
- If approved, you grant the organization permission to display your banner and link on their public Quorum pages for the purchased term
- If the organization declines while your application is in review, the card hold is released (you are not charged)
- If the hold expires before approval, the authorization is released the same way
- After approval (funds captured), sponsorship fees are generally non-refundable, including if the term ends or the banner is removed when the term expires
When a hold is captured, the payment is split: 50% goes to the organization and 50% goes to Quorum as a platform fee to operate the service. Quorum covers Stripe card processing fees from its share. This split is disclosed for transparency and does not change your total price at checkout.
Information you submit (business name, email, website, banner image) is shared with the organization for review and, if approved, displayed publicly as described in our Privacy Policy. Card details are handled by Stripe under Stripe's terms.
For questions about your application or banner placement, contact the organization you are sponsoring. For payment or platform issues, email quorum-support@makergully.com.
